Unlike any other lagoon in Iceland, guests can unwind in a two storey lagoon with a cascading waterfall and exclusive grotto. The experience combines natural geothermal waters, a refreshing cold plunge, and a grand sauna experience set against the stunning backdrop of the Hvítá River and a thick forest.

Laugarás Lagoon features a cascading waterfall, a first among Icelandic lagoons. The rushing waterfall is 6618 mm long, and guests can marvel at its beauty while being reminded that water is central to Iceland’s breathtaking landscape

.Another unique feature is our grotto, located in the lower left area of the lagoon. It offers a touch of privacy, comfortable seating, and an unparalleled experience.

After a dip in the lagoon, there’s nothing quite like enjoying one of our two saunas, located in a cozy spot among a thick forest. Along with reaping all the health benefits of a sauna, guests will also experience a unique view over the banks of the Hvíta River and its vast landscape.

Next to the sauna area, a cold pool invites guests to take a cool, refreshing plunge to reboot and reawaken their senses.
